Food and Music

So the first night we ate thin spaghetti with an Anchovy sauce made by Tony and Anna.
Second night, Fiona made penne pasta with roasted mushroom and red pepper sauce.
Third night was filet steak on the grill with roasted potatoes in their jackets with butter and garlic... delicious cooked by Glenn.
Fourth night our dear friend Wendy was here and she made chicken breast marinated in lemon and pepper and cooked on the grill with corn on the cob.
Anna made an amazing Lentil soup definitely worth mentioning.
Other hightlights were Melinda Cullman's Lamb Stew and Asparagus and Squash Risotto with Wendy's Beet salad with Goats cheese and Walnuts.
Wendy made amazing lamb chops with a cucumber yoghurt salad, roasted brussel sprouts and garlic broccolli.

Hmm, can't remember all the meals and it's making me hungry..... but you get the idea.
Lately we've been recording mostly at night so we've been cooking less but we thank Melinda for stocking us up with frozen Chicken Pot Pies and jars of fancy vodka sauce and Wendy for her delicious Corn Chowder (how can a vegan soup taste so good?) so we're still doing ok.

First blog on the recording

Hey All,
We're here.
We've started recording. By the way, thanks for your song suggestions. You all have great taste and it makes us extremely happy to know that you're all such music lovers with brilliant ideas... quite a few of which we're gonna try.
So, it's all going well. The studio is a house... and the house is not quite a studio but that's sort of the point. We're in Athens, NY, very close to the Hudson River actually you should be able to see some photos of the house and the beautiful river views.
We really are getting some great stuff recorded with magician-engineer Hector Castillo and assistant Adam Thompson and we hope to be able to post some of the music but we're still getting the hang of this blog page.

We're also going to start a food blog as we have to mention the incredible meals we've been eating!
We're all crazy about cooking and eating.. so much so that if we keep up with our current menus we'll have to rename the band Rollabelle..
Very special mention to our friends Wendy Wilson, Melinda Cullman and and Anna Bottorf, our fabulous friends who cooked us some of the most delicious meals we've ever eaten, seriously.

Write more later.
Gotta go eat.,, and sing.

Love,
~Ollabelle~
